From March 20 to 25, Art Basel Hong Kong will run a new digital initiative called 'online viewing rooms'. It's a new opportunity to exhibitors showcase their artworks to international buyers after the art fair was cancelled due to the coronavirus health crisis.
In this platform, gallerists will be able to present projects different from their booths at the fair. Bergamin & Gomide brings a solo presentation by Marcelo Cipis. 'We are here - Legal legs and modern hell' features mostly unseen figurative and abstract paintings
Fortes D'Aloia & Gabriel says that "artworks can function as a portal to another dimension" and invites us to see works by Adriana Varejão, Beatriz Milhazes, Erika Verzutti, Ernesto Neto, Jac Leirner, Janaina Tschape and more.
Mendes Wood DM has chosen to exhibit Brazilian and international artists: Neïl Beloufa, Paloma Bosquê, Patricia Leite, Amadeo Luciano Lorenzato, Matthew Lutz-Kinoy, Solange Pessoa, Marina Perez Simão, Kishio Suga, Paulo Monteiro, Paulo Nimer Pjota, Giangiacomo Rossetti and Michael Dean.
Galeria Nara Roesler exhibits historical artists Abraham Palatnik, Tomie Ohtake and Antonio Dias, alongside contemporary artists Vik Muniz and Artur Lescher. The presentation will explore the ways in which foreign cultural heritage has shaped the practice of Brazilian artists and influenced the overall trajectory of Brazilian art.
