Ernesto Bonato (represented by Via Thorey) takes part in the 11th edition of Biennale Internationale d'estampe contemporaine de Trois-Rivières (Canada, June 16th to September 8th, 2019). 445 artists from around the world applied, but only 53 artists from 21 countries were selected.
The Biennale Internationale d'estampe Contemporaine de Trois-Rivières is one of the world's most significant events for engravings works.
Bonato will present his installation 'Maré': the combination of engravings in large scale, film screenings and a special-composed song, by the Âmago Trio.
Ernesto was born in São Paulo. He works with paintings, drawings, photographies, engravings, urban installation and intervention.
His work has been Shown in 28 countries. The artist holds a master degree from Eca – USP, of Masp, in 1997. He founded and coordinated Piratininga Atelier in São Paulo, from 1993 to 2013.
