Latitude is delighted to publish the results of their 4th Sectorial Study conducted by the researcher Prof. Dr. Ana Leticia Fialho (USP).
This year's survey analyzes the performance of the galleries in 2014, a peculiar year with unfavorable economic context, World Cup and elections in Brazil. The Latitude Sectorial Study shows a surprising continuity of the sector's growth, attested by 51% of surveyed galleries, with 47% of them reporting an increase in their staff.
Considered the most comprehensive annual survey about the Brazilian primary art market, the Study is one of the main results of the Latitude project.
The information analyzed in the research comes from data provided by Apex-Brazil and direct answers from 41 of the 45 galleries then associated with ABACT.
