Through a partnership between the Associação Brasileira de Arte Contemporânea - ABACT (Brazilian Association of Contemporary Art) and the Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency (Apex-Brasil), Latitude - Platform for Brazilian Art Galleries Abroad is proud to support the Brazilian galleries associated with ABACT that took part in the 27th edition of arteBA (24-27 May).
Athena Contemporânea, Baró Galeria and Casa Triângulo took part of the Main Section of the fair, bringing artists such as Lais Myrrha (Athena Contemporânea), Túlio Pinto (Baró) and Eduardo Berliner (Casa Triângulo). At the Solo section Galeria Luisa Strina showed Magdalena Jitrik and Nara Roesler Eduardo Navarro, while Sé Galeria took part in the emerging section Barrio Joven with Traplev and Rafael RG. Vermelho brought to Buenos Aires artists such as Cinthia Marcelle and Iván Argote to the Main Section and the U-Turn section of this year’s edition of arteBA.
Brazilian Latitude galleries were also in Lisbon this week. As part of the programme Sua Escolha [Your Choice], in which Latitude grants support for galleries to take part of a fair of their choice, Galeria Eduardo Fernandes and Silvia Cintra + Box 4 took part of the 3rd edition of ARCOlisboa 17-20 May), along with three more Latitude galleries joining the fair independently, Anita Schwartz, Millan and Vermelho. The Sua Escolha [Your Choice] programme has contemplated 8 galleries within the past 8 months to take part in art fairs in cities including Barcelona, Chicago, Punta del Leste and now Lisbon, aiming to expand the international market reach for Brazilian galleries.
