The Latitude Project supported nine galleries to participate at the fairs ARTBO - Feria Internacional de Arte de Bogotá and Odeón – Feria de Arte Contemporáneo last October.
The 13th edition of ARTBO gathered 75 galleries from 18 countries, organized in five sections: the section “Principal” (main section) brought well-established galleries that are recognized for their trajectory, emerging galleries and galleries with cutting-edge perspectives; “Proyectos” which brought projects by recognized contemporary artists, selected and invited by a curator; the section “Referentes” has explored works by artists who have disrupted/modified paradigms of art history. The possibility to feature artworks, projects or actions that transcend their booth were offered to the galleries by the section "Sitio", and , lastly, “Artecámara”, presenting the work of young Colombian artists.
The galleries Athena Contemporânea, Blau Projects, Fortes D’Aloia & Gabriel, Galeria Eduardo Fernandes, Galeria Luisa Strina, Galeria Raquel Arnaud and Vermelho participated at the fair, all of them at the “Principal” section.
Created in 2011, Odeón focus on Latin American independent galleries. This year the fair suggested a different format from the traditional “white cube” and it created the section “Planta Libre” – a place where selected participants has explored the space in a more creative way. Portas Vilaseca Galeria and Zipper Galeria were the only two Brazilian representatives.
