ARCOmadrid held its 39th edition from 26 February to 1 March. The fair brought together 209 galleries from 30 countries, with a strong Latin American presence (22% of international participants will come from Latin America).
Through a partnership between the Associação Brasileira de Arte Contemporânea – ABACT (Brazilian Association of Contemporary Art) and the Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency (Apex-Brasil), Latitude – Platform for Brazilian Art Galleries Abroad supported the participation of eight Brazilian galleries at the fair.
Galeria Jaqueline Martins brought works by Hudnilson Jr. at the 'It's Just a Matter of Time', a new section which will analyze artistic practices through the work of Félix González-Torres. Fortes D'Aloia & Gabriel presented Mauro Restiffe and Valeska Soares at 'Diálogos', curated by Agustín Pérez Rubio and Lucía Sanromán.
Superfície, with works by Sonia Andrade and Mira Schendel, and Sé Galeria, with Carlos Issa and Rafael RG, were taking part in the new galleries’ section, Opening.
Anita Schwartz Galeria de Arte and Casa Triângulo took part in the main section as well as Galeria Luisa Strina (Laura Lima and Marcius Galan) and Vermelho (Claudia Andujar and Tânia Candiani), which exhibited projects in dialogue at their stands (project SOLO/DUO).
